VEGAS!!!

Okay, so I'm not really into the whole 'Vegas' thing, but it was a cheap quick getaway with my husband (he was on a business trip and I was able to fly out and meet him for a couple days), so it was super fun! We hung out at night when he was done with work and I got to just do NOTHING, other than read, lay by the pool, and nap, during the day, it was SWEET!!! ...and thanks to my friend Becca we were able to get tickets to Blue Man Group, which was awesome! :-)

The only pictures I took were from the hotel room, pretty much because I was too lazy to haul around my camera when we headed out on the town...I really need to get a camera I can just throw in my purse! ;-) The view was pretty cool from the hotel room though, so I had to post a couple of them.

BOUNCE U

Last Tuesday we had play group at BOUNCE U and it was SOOOO much fun! We will definitely have to do this again!!! :-)

Here are some pics...

1 Cor. 10:31

One of our elders e-mailed this out yesterday and it is just what I need to hear. God has been convicting me lately of some things re: how I spend my time (tv, etc.) and this spoke right to me! I wanted to share it with you all.

(J. R. Miller, "In Green Pastures")

"So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do--do it all for the glory of God." 1 Corinthians 10:31

Amusements are proper, both as to kind and degree--just so far as they make us better Christians. Whenever they become hindrances to us in our Christian living or in our holy walk--they are harmful, however innocent they may be in themselves.
How do your amusements influence your spiritual life? They may be very pleasing to you. They may afford great gratification. But what is their effect on you, as a Christian? Are they hindering your love for Christ, and your growth in grace? We ought to be honest enough with ourselves, to answer these questions truthfully, and then act accordingly.

'What Jesus Believes About Hell'

The message at church last night was so outstanding that I had to post a link to it here. If you can set aside some time to listen to it...it will definitely be worth your time!

Celebrating Nate turning 30!!!

A bunch of our friends went to the D-backs game on Saturday night to help him celebrate. We all had a great time and the D-backs won, YEAH!! It was also Alyssa's first baseball game and she did great! She actually sat and watched the game a little bit, she cheered them on, and she ate lots of yummy things...peanuts, cookies, sunflower seeds, popcorn, and her favorite...'otton 'andy! ;) It was so cute when we were all cheering 'Beat L.A.', she thought we were just saying letters, because it sounded like B - L - A...so she would just say random letters when we cheered. SO cute!!!

Happy birthday again Nate, I love you!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATE and MOM!!!

One day late, but... Happy birthday to both of you! :-)

Happy Birthday Emily ... Family Party! :-)

Today we got to celebrate Emily turning ONE with my side of the family. We had a pool party and it was SO fun!!! Emily enjoyed swimming, opening her presents, AND of course her huge piece of CAKE! (which by the way was my first attempt at making an ice cream cake...and even though it didn't turn out too pretty, because the frosting froze pretty quickly on the ice cream, it did taste pretty good!)
