Day 5 in LA...I mean Anaheim!!! :)

Yes, that's right, we got to go to Disneyland...YEAH!!!! :) Where do I start??? Well, Alyssa got to meet Cinderella right when we got there. We probably could've left right after that and she would've thought it was the best day ever...but we decided to stay anyways. ;) She also got to meet Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, have storytime w/Belle, see Mickey and Minnie after going through their houses (which she thought was so cool), Goofy, Pluto, and Pooh (although for some reason she was scared of Pooh???). Really I just don't know what to say except that it was such a fun day, the girls did GREAT, and God is so good to provide a special day like that for us...we are very thankful for that time!
Here's a TON of pics...
It was really neat to see Disneyland all decorated for Halloween!
Alyssa's big moment!
It's sad...I don't have one picture of her smiling with Cinderella. She was like a deer caught in the headlights, it was pretty cute!

This was really fun for the girls...different princesses and princes came out to teach the kids how to curtsie and bow and how to dance like a princess!
The girls waiting to get on a ride. :)
Going through Mickey's house.
I promise Alyssa...we're not going to leave you here! ;)
Finding Nemo was definitely Emi's favorite ride!
Later Alyssa asked if we could go see Mickey again...this time for some reason she whacked Mickey across the nose...and this picture shows Emi trying to copy her.
Finally Emi was awake when we saw Minnie so we had to get a picture of her dressed in her Minnie Mouse costume with Minnie! :)
Pooh was sad...neither of the girls would go anywhere near him!
ALL DONE!!!!

Day 4 in LA

Day 4 was Saturday and Nate only had to work part of the day, so he was home by the time the girls got up from their afternoon nap! :) In the morning after Emi's nap we went back to the park for a little while...and Emi went down the slide all by herself!! It was so cute, she climbed up the stairs, walked over the bridge, climbed to the slide, sat down (which is a huge accomplishment for her...a few months ago she would just start walking down the slide, which doesn't work so well!), and went down the slide. What a big girl!!! :)
Here's Alyssa being so good (and quiet) during Emi's nap! :)
Alyssa loved this big slide!

When the girls woke up and Nate was back we headed to Santa Monica to meet one of Nate's friends from Minnesota, who now lives in LA, and his wife for dinner. We got there early so were able to walk near the beach before meeting them at dinner. The weather was perfect and it was nice to be all together. :)

This was some sculpture thing along the boardwalk area that Alyssa had fun climbing through.

It was so great to see Tyler and Heidi...it had been a couple years since we had seen them last. They picked a really cute place to eat and it was YUMMY!! The girls loved meeting them...but Alyssa especially took to Heidi, it was sooo cute! :) ...thank you Tyler and Heidi for taking the time to meet for dinner, we had a great time!

Day 3 in LA...

Yesterday was much less eventful...PHEW!!! ;)
Emily took her morning nap and I tried to keep a 3 year old quiet in a hotel room for 2 hours! ...but Alyssa actually did a really great job and Emily was much happier the rest of the day so it worked out well. Then we headed to the park since it was so nice out...but about 30 min. after we got there Alyssa fell apart and was ready for her nap. Oh well, the nice weather was nice for at least a little while. ;)

Yes, that's WIND blowing her hair...it felt so good to have air moving! :)
This is just a picture of Alyssa sleeping, but I thought it was so cute because in my mind she's getting so big, but she looked so little sleeping in this big bed!

After naps we headed to dinner at a Cheesecake Factory that was right on a Marina. It was really nice to watch the boats and see the ocean while eating dinner. After dinner we took a walk outside where all the boats were. ...and that's about it for our day, back to the hotel we went for bedtime. :)
