Pics from our cruise...

We got back from our cruise on Sunday.  We had such a nice time being with one another, seeing beautiful places, relaxing, catching up with our friends Andrea & Elliott, and of course eating lots of yummy food!!!  The weather at sea was a bit windy and chilly, but all the stops were 70 and sunny, just beautiful!  Here are some pics...

The wonderful pre-sailing drills. ;)
A lighthouse!
The Golden Gate Bridge...I think the Captain said the boat clears the bridge by 13inches!!!
I don't know why, but I love watching the seals.

Of course, we had to stop for a little ice cream at Ghirardelli's! :)
Our favorite park in San Fran...it's a hike from the pier, but worth it!

1st formal dinner...had to get a picture out on deck even though it was FREEZING!!!
Everyday there was a new towel made into an animal...the puppy was one of my favorites!
Our view from our table at a local brewery in Victoria, BC.  So beautiful!
Craigdarroch Castle in Victoria
Random pics from within the castle...

The view from the top of the tower in the castle...if you look closely you can see our cruise ship in the background.

Top of a lighthouse in the middle of the street, random, but hey I like lighthouses! ;)
The beautiful Empress Hotel

Seattle!

Now this is what I'm talking about!!! :)

I think they dropped the fish! :0
In Seattle we got to spend the day with Andrea & Elliott! :)
Enjoying some good local crab!

Of course Nate had to stop by the 1st Starbucks! ;)
YES, that's a preggo Andrea!!!!  WooHoo! :)
Enjoying the one beautiful warm day at sea.
A couple hours the pool looked like this...
The rest of the days were like this...
The 2nd formal night.
Our assistant waiter, Melvin!
Our CRAZY captain...Captain Johnny!!!  ...yes, he's on a Harley Davidson motorscooter!

Photo shoot!

My friend Renee took these beautiful pictures of my girls for me! :)  ...Emi was in a 'mood', but the ones of her still turned out really cute.  Alyssa did a great job and really 'posed' it up for Renee! ;)

Alyssa...a Dr. and a Butterfly???

Today Alyssa was asking what we'll be learning at Bible study.  I told her we were going to talk about how we can serve one another.  We talked about some practical ways of doing this, like giving money, providing meals, helping around someone's house, etc. and then I asked her how she would want to serve others.  She said she would want to help people that were not well.  I asked what she meant and she said she wanted to be a doctor.  I've never heard her say anything about this before, but it was so cute because she kept going, saying that she could tape them up if they were broken or give them tylenol. :)  Later when daddy came home I prompted her to tell daddy what she wanted to be when she grew up and she very bluntly said, 'a doctor and a butterfly'???  I have no idea where that came from, but after Bible study she continued on about how she was going to be a butterfly, a pink & orange one specifically, and she was going to fly all around.  I love this little girl!

Mother's Day Brunch

We had such a nice morning at the Farmhouse.  I love Mother's Day! ;)
Here are some pics.

Emi got a little tired at the end of breakfast.
Trying to get a good picture of me and my girls...why is it so hard to get everyone looking and smiling at the same time?!?! ;)

Picking Peaches

This morning my mother-in-law and I took the girls to pick peaches at Schnepf's Farm.  It wasn't too hot, too busy, and the peaches were soooo juicy (you get to eat them right off the tree as you pick them)!  It was a very fun morning. :)

Emi's eye :(

On Tuesday Emi was playing with some bubbles on cement and slipped and fell.  On the way down she hit her eye on a planter and got a little gash.  We went to urgent care to see if she needed stitches and to make sure she was okay.  When we got there the doctor said she'd need 1-2 stitches and that since it was near her eye she wanted to try and get her to fall asleep before stitching her up.  Well after a couple doses of medicine and a couple hours of not falling asleep her cut closed up and we were let go with no stitches!  That was such a blessing, praise God!

Here are some pictures of her eye now...swollen and very colorful. :(  She's doing great though!  It's actually never bothered her, except the initial shock when she fell.  She was playing around like a monkey in the dr.'s office and now if you ask her where her owie is she'll point to some random body part, like her knee.  She is one tough little girl. :)

*The ones from my cell phone are really small, sorry!

Messy Fun

Last week on one of the hot days we had a little fun with some shaving cream.  Alyssa loved finger painting with it and Emi loved covering herself in it! :)
